The Bebop Cowboys performed at the Vancouver Island Musicfest 2003 and I was thrilled to have them there! The band is made up of a great group of musicians and human beings who were a joy to have around our festival site. I enjoyed their concert set and received many positive comments from our audience. The musicianship in this band is great. The Cowboys workshop performances (one instructional and one jam) were first rate as well.

The thing I like about the 'Bops is that they play a type of music that was forgotten for years. In my town, though, Bob Wills, Chet Atkins and Country Swing in general never went out of style.

As a festival organizer the Bebop Cowboys present me with an opportunity to engage a section of the local population who only associate folk festivals with dirty hippies. They also have cross-over appeal to a younger, hipper, more music savvy generation of live music fans: the Silverheart-ed, the Fred-heads and the rest of those ne'er-do-wells.

Apart from all that they are excellent musicians with great chops, professional attitudes and all around nice guys. Great bang for our very limited buck.
